Argyle Ability Counts - Junior

Monday, 5pm-6pm

Junior Ability Counts is a fun filled football activity session for children aged 5-16 years with a disability. Play and train in an inclusive and fun environment where all abilities are welcome.

Argyle Community Trust offer disability football coaching sessions for adults (male and female) aged 16+ who have a disability whether physical or mental.

Sessions take place at Manadon Sports and Community Hub, Plymouth, PL5 3FD.

Boundless

Boundless

This is a youth club providing social opportunities for neurodiverse young people. Staffed by qualified youth workers, sessions aim to build confidence in young people through participation and fun. Young people do not need an EHCP or diagnosis but do need to be on the spectrum (experiencing neurodiverse difficulties).

Activities may include sports games, board games, computer gaming, music, quizzes and a wide variety of arts and crafts. Sessions also offer young people the opportunity to gain digital badges.

Sessions held at Efford Youth Centre, Blandford Road, Plymouth PL3 6HU:

  • Monday, 5:00-6:30pm – age 11-15 years (Junior)
  • Monday,6:30-8:00pm – age 16+ years (Senior)

Sessions held at Honicknowle Youth Centre, Honicknowle Lane, Honicknowle, Plymouth, PL5 3PX:

  • Wednesday, 6:30-8:00pm – age 11-15 years (Junior)
  • Wednesday, 7:30-9:00pm – age 16+ years (Senior)

Comets Disability Football

Comets Disability Football

Friday, 6-7pm

Coaching sessions for PAN disability Football starting on Friday 14 June 2024 at Stoke Damerel Community College, Somerset Place, Plymouth PL3 4BD.

Comets is a recreational, pan-disability football program for disabled boys and girls aged between 5 and 11 in England. It provides a safe space for children to play football, belong, and just be themselves. The program encourages playfulness, friendships, and fun, breaking old rules and replacing them with a brand new one: JUST BE YOU.

Hunter District Football Club

Hunter District Football Club

Friday, 7-8pm

Hunter District Football Club offer disability football training sessions for 7-11 year olds on Fridays from 7-8pm at Morley Meadow Primary School, 51 Encombe Street, Plymstock PL9 7GN.

Training will be held with Ross Hart, a Football Association level 1 qualified disability football coach in addition to his role of the Hunter District FC Welfare and Safety Officer. Alongside the Coach, we aim to have at least one qualified S.E.N Teaching Assistant supporting parents and children at every training session.

Team players will also have the option to participate in monthly mini tournaments commencing from September, for those who wish to.

Hunter District FC look forward to welcoming children and their families and encouraging them to develop through football.

No Limits is a Youth Club for young people aged 11-24 years old who identify as having an additional need.

Oaks Rugby Inclusive

A non-contact special needs rugby-group catering for boys and girls from the age of 5 upwards recognised by Devon Rugby Football Union (RFU) and with coaches who are DBS checked. These sessions are tailored to help develop hand-eye co-ordination, confidence building and social skills whilst showing that exercise can be fun. Parents are welcome to stay and join in.

Our goal is to connect parent/carers, students, and schools with available resources. Experience hands-on activities and discover various products at our events held in the main sports hall, along with talks and shows in the Bickleigh suite.

This free event is being held at The Woolwell Centre, Darklake Lane, Woolwell, Plymouth PL6 7TR and will include:

‘Your Future’ is a bespoke programme delivered by On Course South West designed specifically to support young people aged 19-25* into employment, education or training.

Who Can Get Involved?

  • Young people aged between 19-25* living in the Plymouth area
  • Those with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP’s
  • Those with other support needs
  • Those who experience barriers to learning.

*Some opportunities will be available for 16-18 year olds.
