The Local Offer

The Local Offer provides information on the support and services that are available from local agencies for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) aged 0 to 25 years.

Education

  • Moving Schools (PDF – 7MB) – An information leaflet created by young people for young people on going from primary to secondary school. This is full of information that young people would have liked to have known before starting secondary school.

Health

  • Derriford Autism Service – A service offered by Derriford hospital for autistic patients who can inform staff of their specific needs so that reasonable adjustments can be made to improve their care.

Mental Heath

  • Kooth – Helps children and young people feel safe and confident in exploring their concerns and seeking professional support.
  • Child and Young People’s Neurodiversity Wellbeing Team – a confidential, free advice line for children, young people and their families who have a Neurodiversity diagnosis or who are on the Neurodiversity Pathway and have a Plymouth GP. Can offer advice and support on sleep, diet, anxiety, school refusal, friendships and positive support strategies. Call 01752 435404 Monday to Friday, 9-11am and 2-4pm.   • Child Adolescent and Mental Health Service – 24 hour helpline for children and young people under the age of 18. Call 01752 435122.
  • Young Devon – Supporting young people across Plymouth, Devon and Torbay.
