Admission Avoidance is a parents guide on how to avoid mental health admissions for young people with autism and/or a learning disability, or for a child/young person that may be on the Dynamic support register. It explains what can be done before a child/young person needs to be admitted to a tier 4 mental health hospital.

Advice Now is an independent not-for-profit website run by the charity Law for Life.  It provides accurate and practical information on rights and the law in England and Wales including guidance on benefits, health and social care, housing and homelessness, family and personal, education and training and Government, law and rights.

Autism Central is a new programme commissioned by NHS England for parents and carers. It aims to help families and carers learn more about autism, and the support available to them by signposting to useful resources and learning.

Public Health England (PHE), in partnership with the NHS have launched a new platform called “Every Mind Matters” to help people look after their mental health, improve their mental wellbeing and support others.

The Family and Childcare Trust aims to make the UK a better place for families, through research, campaigning and information provision, and working with government, employers and parents to reduce pressures on family life.

Family and Community Solutions offer Family Group Conferences and Mediation Services to try and reach joint decisions in situations where conversations between families may be difficult. During the COVID-19 pandemic, these have been adapted to accomodate virtual family group conferences or mediation where appropriate. Professionals can refer families by completing a referral form.
